Discovering Online Beauty Retailer JUSTMYLOOK

I’ve been waiting to put this blog post together for the past few weeks now, as it’s all about a lovely beauty retailer I’ve discover. However, I wanted to wait until November kicked in as I feel this beauty retailer is a fantastic one to discover for any Christmas shopping for others.

Or – and lets face it as this is the most exciting option – treating yourself!

I’m a makeup artist along with being a full time influencer, and often turn to online stores to top up my makeup kit. I tend to get replacement items for the kit, and then I always add a few makeup items for me. Usually ones I haven’t tried before, so I can give them a review on the blog and over at my Instagram page too.

My latest discovery is a site called JUSTMYLOOK – a fast growing beauty retailer stocking over 4,000 products from 150+ prestige brands, including industry icons such as ghd, to cult brands like The Ordinary. From hair, skin and makeup, to mens essentials, electricals and bath and body, they literally cover everything beauty related.

I was missing two items from my makeup kit: a set of Kabuki makeup brushes and a nice new ‘nude’ shade eyeshadow palette. So I had a little look on the site to try and find some affordable items.

Being freelance and always needed to spend money on my kit means I have to look for affordable and quality products. Which can be quite hard!

It probably took me about 7 minutes in total to settle on this 10 Piece Kabuki Makeup Brush Set by LaRoc. How are 10 quality makeup brushes on offer for just £6.95? Even the full price before being reduced is £10. Literally can’t believe it!

I love Kabuki brushes for liquid makeup, so for buffing in foundation and concealer, and for being a little more controlled and creative with cream shadows on the eyelids.

When the brushes arrived, I couldn’t fault the quality. The bristles are ultra-plush and made from synthetic hair for a smooth, flawless coverage.

The brush collection contains the following, and I’ve used the three in the above photo to apply my foundation and concealer as per the below photo.

LaRoc Round Blending Brush – for use with powder or foundation.
LaRoc Angled Blending Brush – for nose and mouth foundations.
LaRoc Flat Blending Brush – for use with concealer.
LaRoc Tapered Contouring Brush – for difficult to reach places eg. eyes, nose.
LaRoc Angled Contouring Brush – use with the hollows of your cheeks & the side of your nose.
LaRoc Small Tapered Contouring Brush – use with cream and liquid foundations.
LaRoc Small Flat Blending Brush – to conceal around the nose and under the eyes
LaRoc Small Round Blending Brush – for eye primer and eyeshadow.
LaRoc Small Angled Contouring Brush – use with the sides of the nose and hollows of the cheeks.
LaRoc Small Angled Blending Brush – for stippling concealer.
Handy carry case.

The next product I found which was a complete bargain is the L.A Girl Eyeshadow Palette. This L.A. Girl USA Beauty Brick 12 Colour Eyeshadow Palette comes in a number of variations each containing 12 gorgeous shades especially picked to compliment one another. I went for the ‘Nudes’ palette – A selection of neutrals & nudes perfect for creating a dramatic & demure look.

The shades are ideal for my bridal clients, and I actually saw this palette recommended on YouTube my Australian MUA Jasmine Hand. When it arrived, I was pretty impressed with the highly pigmented quality for just £7.99. All shades can be effortlessly applied to provide full-colour coverage and a flawless finish every time.

The shades have a soft texture preventing an unwanted ‘caked’ feeling that some inferior eyeshadows give. The palette includes an ergonomic applicator brush and is completely cruelty-free.

I love using the shades for weddings, and I’ve shared some photos below from a recent wedding I did using the palette on the eyelids of the Bride and Bridesmaids…

I also got my hands on a Mehron Precious Gem Powder in Opal, a creamy shimmer pigment for bridal eyes, which is perfect for that fresh glimmer.

Overall, I’m super happy with discovering this online beauty and makeup retailer. I haven’t explored the hair range yet, but I’ll definitely be returning to this site when my products start to run low, and will be recommending people check them out as I do get a lot of DM’s on Instagram! And it’s always good to have a more undiscovered option to put forward…
